Idsall School Celebrates Another Outstanding Year of A Level and Vocational Success

Students, staff and families at Idsall School are celebrating another exceptional year of A Level and vocational qualification results, with students securing places at leading universities, prestigious apprenticeships and exciting career pathways.

The results continue the school’s strong track record of achievement and reflect the commitment, resilience and ambition shown by students throughout their time in the Sixth Form. Students are progressing to a wide range of destinations, including Russell Group universities, specialist degree programmes and high-quality apprenticeship routes, helping to develop the skilled workforce of the future both locally and nationally.

Among the many success stories is Zak Jones, who achieved an impressive A, A and B* and will progress to Durham University to study History. Issac Nagra secured an outstanding A, A and A and, after taking a year to travel, will begin an exciting apprenticeship. Aimee Powell achieved Distinction, B and A* and will be joining the University of Liverpool to study History.

Other notable achievements include Mya Sahota, who earned A, B and Distinction and will study Accounting and Finance at university; Sannan Muhammed, who achieved three Distinctions and is progressing to Nottingham Trent University to study Construction Management; and Abi Jones, who secured B, C and C and will be studying Law.

These achievements reflect the hard work, determination and resilience of our students, supported by the dedication of our staff and the unwavering support of families. We are particularly proud of the wide range of destinations our students are progressing to, including highly regarded universities, degree apprenticeships and employment opportunities. Their success is the result of years of commitment and ambition, and we wish them every success as they begin the next chapter of their lives.

As these young people move into higher education, professional training and skilled employment, they will go on to make a significant contribution to the workforce. They represent the next generation of professionals, innovators and leaders, and we are proud to have played a part in helping them realise their aspirations.”

“This has been another fantastic year for our Sixth Form students. Beyond the grades, we are proud of the personal growth, confidence and independence they have developed during their time with us. Today is a celebration of each student’s individual journey and the determination they have shown to achieve their goals. Whether they are progressing to university, apprenticeships, employment or taking time to travel and gain new experiences, they leave us exceptionally well prepared for the future. We are incredibly proud of everything they have achieved and look forward to hearing about their continued success.”

As students celebrate their results and prepare for their next steps, the atmosphere across the school is one of pride and excitement. The Class of 2026 leaves Idsall School with a strong foundation for future success and a legacy of achievement that continues the school’s tradition of excellence.

Our Year 7 Open Evening on Thursday 17 September offers prospective students and their families the opportunity to begin an exciting seven-year journey from Year 7 through to Sixth Form. Visitors will be able to explore our facilities, meet our dedicated staff and students, experience learning in action and discover how Idsall School supports every young person to thrive academically, socially and personally.

Students considering their post-16 options are also invited to our Sixth Form and Open6 Evening on Thursday 19 November. The evening will provide the opportunity to explore our extensive range of academic and vocational pathways, meet specialist staff, hear from current students and discover how Idsall Sixth Form and Open6 prepare young people for university, apprenticeships and successful careers.
